Spoke
Client: Spoke
Role: Designer
Objective: Rebrand agency identity
The creation of a bespoke logotype using quote marks, a subtle nod to the act of speech. Inset, a geometric pattern originating from Vauxhall underground station tiles which were designed the year of Spoke’s launch — in Vauxhall — in 2015. Inspired by the Arts and Crafts movement, the pattern lends a recognisable, textured layer to the agency’s branding kit.
Alternative Concepts
-

Splice
Splice: ‘to unite two pieces; creating cohesive and smooth transitions’.
Inspired by the agency’s origination in film, this branding is more about disruption [to the norm], looking at things differently. Striving forward, with simplicity, warmth and approachability.
-

Speech
Highlighting conversation. Like any good story, dialogue is pivotal in what Spoke does.
With this contemporary and distinctive branding there’s flexibility to play with the marks, using them as holding devices, highlighters or even image boxes.
